Mmm sun <3
So today...Nat and I played WoW for a bit. Then we started laundry. Then we went to the lake.

Now for those of you who don't live in Victoria or have never been here...when I say we went to the lake what I mean is that we drove ten minutes from my house to Thetis Lake. There is a parking lot out front by the highway. There is a beach there too.

Then there's a whole lot of forest with trails and another lake. At the BACK of Thetis there's a small road. Thetis is a pretty big lake considering it's maybe half an hour from the city center. Not that the City Center is big or anything, but still. And there's woods. I mean it's pretty tame woods, but there are woods there. There's also probably a cougar that lives out that way. Not a big deal, though. So we started at the beach...and decided to go for a "little" walk. SO we walked. Up to the end of the lower lake. Then we were gonna follow the upper lake trail. Then we found this OTHER trail...that was much littler than the well-traveled "Upper Thetis trail" and "Lower Thetis trail"...so then we followed that. THEN we found a random fork. With some "don't go here" sticks on the ground. So we went that way. Then we found this neat little space. Then we went back the way we'd come and took the other fork. Then we walked for awhile. Then we ended up at the little road out back of thetis...PAST thetis and on the far side of Prior lake. Prior lake is...technically a lake. Kind of like a pond. Said cougar hunts here sometimes. Anyway. So we walked out to the road. Then we went up the road to the Prior lake entrance. Then we traipsed through the woods back to the road. Then we walked to the rear Thetis entrance. And then we walked back to the beach.

So we got back to the beach and went for a swim. Because after two and a half hours of traipsing through the wilderness on a trail about two feet wide (in some places maybe only a foot and a half wide?)in FLIP FLOPS (stupid idea, I know) I wanted a swim. Nat didn't go in the water, and it was pretty cold, but very refreshing. Then we came home. And I made pasta. Sundried Tomato and Basil pasta. With olive oil, garlic, red pepper, red onion and lime. It was freakin' GOOD. Now i'm sitting in my nice warm room on my computer while nat has a nap.

I feel....<3

We're gonna go out that way again. It'll be nice.

I was ALSO suppsoed to go for japanese food tonight, but Chris had to cancel again. Which is fine, cuz right now I feel like a contented cat curled up in the sun. Only with less sun. My face might be a little burned. At least it feels warm. I'll check later lol.

...and you know...while hiking through the woods I realized once again that I'm not really your average computer nerd... I mean...if I was I certainly wouldn't ABSOLUTELY LOVE hiking through the woods on a whim. And if the weather is nice next friday we're gonna do something kind of illegal but very fun. And by "kind of illegal" i mean completely illegal. But *shrug* it'll be fun :)
